The application period for 2021 local scholarships opens December 4, 2020.

The deadline to submit your applications is February 5, 2021.


2021 Local Scholarship Applications for Bay High seniors:

The Bay Village Community can be proud of the many local scholarship opportunities for our students. Below is a list of local scholarships. Carefully review the criteria for each scholarship and determine which ones you meet the minimum qualifications for and then proceed to the on-line application process. 

NEW FOR 2021: All community scholarships are to be completed in the Bay Local Scholarships Google Classroom for seniors. Each community scholarship is listed as its own "assignment," but all applications contain a Common App element. Some may also include an additional extended response question after the Common App portion. First, complete your Common App template, then copy/paste information into the Common App section of the scholarships you wish to apply for. Make sure you read and complete each application completely. When you have finished completing an application, click the Turn In button to submit.

NOTE: You must upload and link a PDF copy of your transcript and a PDF copy of your staff recommendation to your Common App template.

Checklist for completing local scholarship applications:
1. Scanned copy transcript (provided by Guidance) uploaded to Google Drive
2. Staff recommendation completed by student AND staff, PDF copy uploaded to Google Drive
3. Common App Template completed in Google Classroom:
    a) links to Transcript and Staff Recommendation are pasted (Anyone with the link can view)
    b) Parts A-C completed
4. Common App portions are pasted into appropriate applications
5. All sections of a community scholarship application are complete
6. Turn In has been clicked for all scholarships I am applying for 

These are local scholarships only. Non-local scholarships can be found on our NAVIANCE site and accessed with the password you have been provided by the Guidance Office.

Lived in Bay Village for four years, a grade point average of 3.0 and who wants to continue his/her education at a recognized college or university and can demonstrate a need for help.

A graduating high school senior attending a post-secondary educational institution. Student does not have to have participated in any sports during his/her senior year. Student cannot have been suspended for any reason during his/her senior year.

Attend a college or university in the State of Ohio and owned/operated by the State of Ohio or a political subdivision of Ohio.

Must have actively participated in BSC programs as a player, coach, referee, instructor, field maintenance worker, data assistant, or held a student leadership position that supported the activities of BSC.

Intends to pursue a career that promotes the welfare, protection and or the education of youth (not limited to a career in education). Actively involved in the school and community. GPA of 2.8 or better. The student is a U.S. citizen. The parent of the student is a member of PTA or PTSA.
